Herb's House, Inc.

When Herb got out of rehab, there were no transitional sober living opportunities in the county where he lives. The closest halfway house was two counties and more than 50 miles away; and he was extremely lucky to be able to get into that one. As Herb walked his own path, he felt a desire to give back to the community and to help other addicts in early recovery. Herb concieved the idea of Herb's House to fill a need. Like Herb, his home is quiet, simple and purposeful.

About Herb's Mom

Donna Boas was there for her son when he finally surrendered to his higher power and embraced Step One. She assisted him in getting into a superb rehab facility.

Soon after Herb got out of rehab, Donna succombed to an illness she had been battling, seeming determined to see Herb through his dark hour. Before she passed, Donna asked Herb to dedicate himself to service to others and Herb told her of his ideas to share his home with others in recovery. Donna left him with the means to start the project.

Herb's House is dedicated in loving memory of his mother, Donna Boas.
